Tillamook Air Museum

One of the finest aircraft museums in existence is the Tillamook Air Museum on the Oregon Coast. Of course, you have heard of Tillamook Cheese, but maybe not of the Air Museum.

The Museum is a little south of Tillamook off Highway 101. There are many things to visit in Tillamook including the Cheese Factory, Blue Heron French Cheese Factory, Cape Meares, Munson Creek Falls, Tillamook Forest Center and of course, the Air Museum.

The aircraft are housed in an old World War Two Blimp Hangar which just happens to be the largest wooden structure in the world. Seeing is believing...it's absolutely huge!

I photographed almost every aircraft in the Museum so there will be more posts coming up. See Post Number Two Here (link)!

(Update to this post 6/19/13) The museum is moving to Madras, Oregon which is located in Central Oregon. The move will happen by 2016. This is not a particularly bad thing. It's a better climate for the planes and the new location should get more visitors.
