Officers Row

If you ever visit Vancouver, Washington a trip to Officers' Row is a must. It consists of some twenty one homes built for Army officers in the 1800's and early 1900's and is part of the famous Vancouver Barracks. And, is part of the "Vancouver National Historic Reserve".

The oldest home (Grant House) is named after Ulysses S. Grant who never lived in the house but was at one time stationed at Vancouver Barracks.

The Army eventually sold the property to the City of Vancouver for a buck and the City turned around and renovated the entire site.

If you want to see historic real estate in its entirety...this is it! It's an absolutely gorgeous place and is worth your time to visit.
