One of the cool windsurfing places in the world is Hood River, Oregon. It's located on the Columbia River, and is just a short trip from Portland up the Columbia Gorge.
Even if there was no windsurfing at all, Hood River would still be a cool place to visit...meaning cool restaurants, pubs, activities, scenery and people.
Here are just a few shots of the windsurfing area...I will show some photos of the town in another post.
