A must thing to do if you visit Oregon is to transport yourself to Newport on the Central Oregon Coast. It is easy to get to and there are wonderful accommodations to be had throughout the area.
Besides cool places to visit like Nye Beach, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Yaquina Lighthouse, there is the Historic Bayfront located on Yaquina Bay in Newport.
The Bayfront sort of reminds me of the classic New England coastal town.
The first pic is of a seagull waiting for, maybe some crab to be thrown his way. The second and third photos are of some of the hundreds and hundreds of boats in the Bay. Yaquina Bay is home to the largest fishing fleet in Oregon.
The fourth photo is of stacked fishing nets and the fifth, a door to a restaurant located on one of the piers.
One of my favorite shots is of the Sea Lions, down below, perched on one of the mooring docks.
