This very nice 1940 Pontiac Coupe was sitting out in the rain at a car show in Newport, Oregon. Of course, if you know anything about Oregon it rains ever so often.
The Pontiac automobile was established in 1926. Within General Motors, the folks that built the Pontiac had special pride in the way they turned out.
Unfortunately, in 2009, due to financial hassles GM discontinued manufacturing the car. That is a shame! Many good Pontiac factory workers lost their jobs. It seems like they were scapegoats.
This image was processed in High Dynamic Range Photography (HDR). Five different exposures were combined into one to give the image more depth.
