There is much intrigue about carousels from our childhood on. Anyone that has ridden on one at a early age has a lifetime of pleasant memories.
Usually, all types of animals are represented on a carousel however, horses seem to be one of the most popular!
The carousel itself is said to have originated in the medieval ages when jostling was popular. Folks would ride horses around in circles and toss balls at each other. It was a sort of a military preparation thing to sharpen one's skills.
Well, even today folks still run around in circles, while others throw balls at each other!
