A Tree By The Sea (Link) This is a capture of an unusual tree located on a beach in Crescent City, California next to the Battery Point Light, which is a historic lighthouse and was one of the first lighthouses on the California coast. The wind from the Pacific Ocean has formed this tree into an abstract form. Because of the wind, the tree is growing in many directions and, doubling up into itself. Sometimes nature's art can be extremely well done and cannot be duplicated by anyone. |
In The Fog (Link) Trinidad Head Lighthouse is located on the Northern California Coast...of course in the town of Trinidad! The capture was made on a rather foggy day. The original lighthouse was built in 1871 and, consisted of a small two-story light tower, a Victorian style residence, and a barn. |

1912 Indian (Link) This is a cool 1912, and classic Indian Motorcycle! They started manufacturing the bike back in 1901. Maybe you remember the movie "The World Fastest Indian" starring Anthony Hopkins. In the early 1900s the Indian Motorcycle was the largest produced motorcycle in the world. |

Red Hot Ford (Link) This is just a beautiful circa 1934 Ford hot rod sitting on a side street in a town in Oregon! Actually, it might be more accurate to say an antique car that has been restored to original condition. |
The "Aguero" (Link) is a fishing vessel, located in Newport on the Oregon Coast. Aquero, in Spanish translates to "omen"! One meaning is that it is a bad omen for fishermen to learn how to swim?? However, we can assume that the name "Aguero" on this vessel is intended to be a "good omen", whether you can swim or not! |
Garden Fun (Link) The garden scene is located on a peony farm in Salem, Oregon. It is in the middle of a beautiful rural area surrounded by vegetable and other types of farms. Although peonies are the main growth many different types of flowers are intermingled. |

Sidewalk Floral (Link) There is this cool little town in Oregon, not far from I5 and Eugene that is a must to visit. The name of the town is Brownsville. It is where the movie "Stand By Me" was filmed. It's a small town, settled in 1846. It is a place of beautiful classic homes with old fashioned front porches and picket fences. The town also features unique and vintage storefronts. |

Tony's Crabshack (Link) Bandon,Oregon is home to Tony's Crabshack on the Oregon Coast! It's small, crowded and has seafood to die for! And, it is close to the Pacific Ocean and the beach! Tony's is the "beach"! This capture was made on a very early Sunday morning...no tourist around. The image was converted into High Dynamic Range Photography or, HDR. If you are looking for a great Seafood Cocktail, Tony's has great choices: Ocean Shrimp, Dungeness Crab, Oyster, Crab and Shrimp Combo and Wild Prawn. For soups they have fresh New England Style Clam Chowder or, Cioppino to die for. Of course, they have an array of delectable seafood salads. Old 104 (Link) This old Number 104 steam engine locomotive sits on a track next to the waterfront park in Coos Bay, Oregon. It was decided to capture Old 104 in black and white as it brings out more contrast in the photo. It is a grand old locomotive ready to be cherished by all! A steam engine locomotive produces power through a steam engine. They are fueled by burning combustible material, typically coal, wood, or oil to produce steam in a boiler. |
Old Rusty (Link) Just an old rusty Chevy pickup truck sitting out in a field, that nobody seems to care about! It has seen better days but, with a little bit of tender loving care could be like new! It is believed this is a circa 1947-49 Chevrolet Pickup. There were just subtle differences between years for this pickup. When photographed, there were many parts missing on the truck. So, good-luck identifying the year! Three different exposures were made of the Chevy Pickup. They were then combined and converted into High Dynamic Range Photography (HDR). |
