Mary S. Young Park | Part Two

Fishing For Chinook On The Willamette River

This gentleman and his puppy are fishing for spring Chinook just off the banks of Mary S. Young Park in West Linn, Oregon. Unfortunately, so was a Sea Lion about twenty yards away. It had about a 15 pound salmon or so in it's mouth.

This is the second post about Mary S. Young in a series...please enjoy!

Mary S. Young Park

Trillium
Oregon has some of the coolest parks you'll ever run across and, Mary S.Young Park in West Linn is right up there with all of them.

The Park is located dead smack in the middle of an urban area...which makes it unique. When you're in the Park it's feels like you're in the wilderness and forty miles from nowhere.

Mary S. Young Park is located on 140 acres of prime property next to the Willamette River. At one time it was a State Park now it is maintained by the City of West Linn.

Above, is a shot of a Trillium...a wild, rare flower that are scattered throughout Mary S. Young Park.  And, they are coveted...walking out with a bouquet may get you Gulag time.

I cannot post all the photos in one setting, so this will be continued.
