Yellow Iris

Schreiner's Iris Gardens is located north of Salem, Oregon. It is one of the finest Iris growing farms in the country.

They feature hundreds of different varieties/colors of Irises. Their featured gardens which are kept in immaculate shape year around, Irises or no Irises, really come into fruition in the spring.

Of course, this is a yellow Iris...a bearded Iris but, don't confuse it with a yellow flag Iris that is an  invasive ornamental perennial that can be a real problem.

Flower Garden Pictures In Oregon

Every year I like to feature Schreiner's Iris Gardens and Adelmen Peony Gardens in Salem, Oregon.

Two gorgeous and extraordinaire flower garden spots. Of course, Scheiner's specializes in Irises and Adelmen's in Peonies. If you are visiting them, they are just a stone throws from each other.

I really don't know of any better places to visit when Irises and Peonies are in bloom.

Back to Schreiner's Iris Gardens in Salem, Oregon. Where cool flowers reside!

I know of no other place that has beautiful Irises like they do. The trouble is the Irises last only a short time.

Please enjoy!

Iris Flowers To Enjoy

My wife and I have visited Schreiner's Iris Gardens in Salem, Oregon well over a span of thirty years.

When we first visited years ago, it seemed like it was a small operation however, when the Irises were in bloom it was always packed with folks wanting bouquets and bulbs.

Over the years, it has grown into a huge and first-class outlet for some of the most beautiful Iris gardens on earth. And, not just Irises, but a multitude of other plants and flowers...like the the Allium plants in the second photo.
