Horse Drawn Carriage

Sort of a unique scene! This horse drawn carriage (buggy) was found in Jacksonville, Oregon. Which is a very cool place, located in the southern part of the State!

And, the carriage was not found in a museum! It was just displayed like "yard art". In fact, another and similar horse drawn carriage was found just blocks away!

This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range (HDR) by combining three different exposures, and then incorporating the results into a digital painting.

My Fine Art America Site

In 2014 I joined what is called a "Print On Demand" or, POD service called "Fine Art America"! This gives me a place to show my photography to the public.

It's simple! I upload my photography to their online site. With the Terms of Service, it gives them the right to print my photography on a variety of products, sell it, and in return pay me a commission when something sells.

I actually have two sites with them. The main site "Fine Art America" (link) and a personal site "Thom Zehrfeld Fine Art" (link). I pay an additional charge for the personal site and the ability to add unlimited photography.

Now comes the hard part! It is up to me to organize and promote my own photography in order for a client to see it. The emphasis is on promotion. If the client can't find the art they are not going to buy it.

If it's quality work and, providing I have promoted my product right, the client will discover it, like it and order it through Fine Art America. In turn, they print it and ship it.

My RedBubble Artist Site

In order to expose my photography to the public on the internet I joined what is called a "Print On Demand" or, POD service called "RedBubble" !

With a service like this, all I have to do is upload my photography to their online site. That gives them the right to print my photography on a variety of products, sell it, and in return they pay me a commission when something sells for the right to use it.

It is up to me to organize and promote my own photography, however. If it's quality work and, providing I have promoted my product right, the customer finds it on the internet, orders it, and RedBubble prints it and ships it to the customer.
