City Park Depoe Bay Oregon

Depoe Bay, Oregon has a cool little park aptly named "City Park"! The Park leads to a neat trailhead, the "South Depoe Bay Nature Trail" and, what they really don't tell you, the harbor in Depoe Bay.

It is located at the south end of the harbor (south end of town) off of Schoolhouse Road, on Shell Avenue.

The park itself is small but, has ample parking and restrooms and, is a starting point for the trailhead and harbor.

All of the above is a very nice walk. And, if you have been good, may you end up at the Harbor Lights Inn for dinner at five. Best place in Depoe Bay to eat! Cross the bridge in the first photo here and you will see it off to the right overlooking the harbor.

Depoe Bay OR

Depoe Bay, Oregon boasts the world's smallest harbor. They also they can boast about a very short haul to the Pacific Ocean if you are going fishing or whale watching off the coast.

My wife and I stayed at the "Harbor Lights Inn" (link) which overlooks the Depoe Bay Harbor and the boat basin.  The hotel and the service is exceptional and, we give it five stars.

It is more like a huge bed and breakfast since they feed you a gourmet breakfast in the morning. It's cozy, down home and cool!

I would rate it among one of the best little beach towns in Oregon. Although, you either have to go a tad north or, south if you want to walk or lay on a beach. It's a short haul to Newport and Lincoln City.
