Pier Art

This is Dock 5 Pier which is located in Newport, Oregon on the Central Coast. When Dungeness crab is in season folks flock to the Port Docks to get not only fresh crab but, fresh lingcod, tuna, rockfish.

You are looking at the walkway to Dock 5 from the wooden boardwalk that parallels Bay Street on the Historic Bayfront. In the background, is part of the fishing fleet that is in port.

1925 Autocar Truck

Originally the company was the "Pittsburgh Motor Vehicle Company". They renamed the outfit in 1899 to the Autocar Company.

Some years later the  company decided to manufacture commercial vehicles only. Autocar is the oldest surviving motor vehicle brand in the Western Hemisphere.

In 1953 they sold the company to White Motor Company. However, in later years were related to the Volvo and GMC brands. This image has been converted to a digital painting.
