Jaguar Automotive Art

This mint green 1972 Jaguar E-Type was captured at the NOAA 100th Anniversary Celebration in Newport, on the Oregon Coast. Behind the Jag is a huge NOAA research ship, moored in Yaquina Bay.

What caught my eye was the gorgeous mint green paint on the Jag! The auto is absolutely flawless, inside and out!

This capture has been converted to a paintography image.

Below is a 1955 Jaquar XK140 MC. It's one cool customer! The XK140 was introduced in late 1954 and sold as a 1955 model.

Exterior changes that distinguished it from the XK120 included larger front and rear bumpers. The Jaguar badge was incorporated into the grill with an emblem on the boot lid containing the words "Winner Le Mans 1951 - 3".

Right off the production line, a XK-140 could achieve a top speed of 120 and even 125 mph. Roadsters like this one,  had a canvas top that folded out of sight behind the seats.

Moreover, the interior was trimmed in leather and leatherette, including the dash. Not too sure, that even today, that these models, that were produced way back when, could be reproduced and be one of the most popular and best selling sports cars among its contemporaries!

Too, this capture has been converted to a paintography image.

Bayfront and South Beach in Newport

This is sort of a potpourri of photos in and around South Beach and the Historic Bayfront in Newport, Oregon.

The first and last photos are of Ocean Bleu @ Gino's...a popular eating place on the Bayfront. Caught them at closing on a Sunday night.

The second, third and fourth photos were taken in South Beach...across the Yaquina Bay. The sun is down in the second photo adding a neat glow to the capture.

The "National Oceanic and Atmospheric Adminstration" (NOAA) vessels are in the fourth photo. And, finally "Gino's" again as shot from across the street.
