Sternwheeler Art

This is the Newport (Oregon) Belle, a floating Bed and Breakfast moored in South Beach on Yaquina Bay on the Oregon Coast! It is a sternwheeler riverboat specifically designed as a Bed & Breakfast Inn.

It was constructed in 1993 and is Coast Guard Certified although, they do not move the the riverboat from its mooring. It is usually closed during the winter months but, a very cool place to stay during the spring, summer and fall tourist season. Very unique!

Newport and Yaquina Bay has the largest fishing fleet in Oregon. This image has been converted to a digital painting!

At The Beach

Such is a beach house with it's nautical decor! Walk anywhere in the Nye Beach District in Newport, Oregon and you are likely to run into some cool beach decor.

There is some very innovative decorating starting with this place..."The Nye Beach Seaweed Bum's Bungalows", and along with "The Sylvia Beach Hotel" on Northwest Cliff Street are two of the staples in this cool community.

Many folks pass the "Bum's Bungalows" everyday on their way to the beach or back...especially if you are going south from Sylvia's to get on the beach.
