Metal Art Sculptures Two

I have a lot of fun wondering around Clackamas Community College in Oregon City, Oregon and photographing outdoor sculptures.

The other place I go to photograph outdoor sculptures is Lake Oswego...which is across the Willamette River from my home and about five miles away.

However, I think I have more of a fondness for the works at the college. There is some real talent on campus.

I photographed everything on these pages with a Canon Elph 300 HS Point and Shoot (link). It's a cool little pocket camera and the price is right at Amazon!

Please help support my blog by checking out these recommended books on sculptures through Amazon: (If you buy a product I receive a small commission...keeps the blog going!)

1)  A Universe of Metal Sculpture (Henry Harvey's delightful and scintillating writing style presents his universe of sculpting and divulges secrets and tips on everything from metalworking tools, the creative process, and life as an artists.)

2)  A Passion for Metal: Reflections and Techniques of a Metal Sculptor (Schiffer Art Books) (A metal sculptor for over 30 years, Henry Harvey has created work that resides in public and private collections around the world. Now, with wit and style, Harvey divulges a rare, no-holds-barred accounting of his world of metal sculpting, from the lighting of a torch to techniques, patinas, strange commissions, peculiar customers, and as a candid insight to the genesis of his sculpture. A number of projects are illustrated and explained in exquisite detail, making this book an absolute must for everyone contemplating becoming a sculptor.)

Also, if you are an art lover, (you are, aren't you?) the following link to Art.com is a very cool thing to check out: Purchase Limited Editions Art Prints at Art.com
