Things To Do In South Beach

South Beach is just across the Yaquina Bay Bridge in Newport, Oregon. It is an exciting part of the Central Coast and consists of the Hatfield Marine Science Center, Oregon Coast Aquarium and the Roque Brewery for starters.

It also consists of the South Beach State Park which is gigantic and is a super place to walk or hike.

For my wife and I, the walk started and ended, more or less, under the south end of the Yaquina Bay Bridge which is another park.

There is a road that parallels the bay and I took photos as I went. If you continue on this road it takes you to the beach. But, we cutoff and took an inland trail that paralleled the beach, walked for about three quarters of a mile and came back on a different trail.

The walk is very scenic and there are lots of things to see.
