Prehistoric Gardens Oregon Coast

If you get a chance to travel the Oregon Coast, one of the attractions is the "Prehistoric Gardens" in Port Orford. It is south of town on Highway 101 on the Southern Oregon Coast.

It is especially super neat for the kids...Duh, dinosaurs!

The setting is a rain forest and the plants are real...the dinosaurs not so much. But, I wouldn't get to close to one, you never know.

My wife and I visited the Gardens with no children attached. It was a pleasant experience. It looked well maintained considering it rains a lot in Oregon and it is hard to get out there and maintain things during the winter months.

There is signage at each exhibit, which actually tells you a lot about what prehistoric animal you are observing.

The price of admission is not outrageous and, fair.

Let me sum it up this way, if they could afford animatronics, like Disney, you couldn't get next to the place!
