Portland Union Train Station

The Portland Union Train Station has been around since 1890. It would have been the largest train station in the country if they had stayed with the original design but, it was downsized.

The station is located in China Town and is right next to the Broadway Bridge.  The Union Station with its cool architecture, 50-foot-tall clock tower and, “Go By Train” neon sign, is a Portland landmark.

Of course, rail transportation is not as popular as it once was but, it is still a cool way to travel!

In 1975. the station was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
