More on the Festival of Balloons held at Cook Park in Tigard, Oregon. The event was held June 21st, 22nd and 23rd, 2013.

It's a first-class event! You have to get up early to watch them to prepare for lifting off and the actual lift into the air. It is quite a show.
They use a giant electric fan to partially inflate the balloons and then they further inflate them using a propane driven device and to use in flight to keep the balloons inflated and to maneuver.
