Bandon Boat Basin At Dawn

This is part of the Bandon waterfront and boat basin, located on the Southern Oregon Coast. You can't see the Pacific Ocean in the background but, you can see the Coquille River Lighthouse off to the right.

No breeze, so Old Glory is not flying.

Bandon is a very unusual place. It is small, and has a charm not readily found elsewhere. It has undoubtedly the most pristine beaches in the world. And, you can take a stroll on the beach and not see anyone else!

Jackson Tower Portland Oregon

The Jackson Tower is a historic 12 story office building in downtown Portland,Oregon. It was built in 1912 and was formerly The Oregon Journal Newspaper Building.

It is a structure that is a bit amiss among the modern buildings that surround it. When it was built the builders used glazed terra cotta as the exterior sheathing over the building's steel frame.

The terra-cotta glaze contributed to keeping the building fireproof through the years. Over the years, the interior has been renovated and has been turned into office space.
