Antique Roses

Heirloom Roses in Dayton, Oregon grows almost any kind of rose that you can imagine. And, some that you can't.  

The first photo here is a unique depiction of a rose.  I love to do different things with my photography...I don't want you to get bored looking at standard flower pics all the time!

Photoshop has a program called a "Pixel Bender". You can twist and, generally get your photos to take different forms (the first photo has twisted pixels...the second smaller one is the same photo without the twist).

After that, I'm on the straight and narrow. I love Heirloom Roses and will be showing more in future posts.

Heirloom Roses

Nestled outside of St. Paul, Oregon is "Heirloom Roses". A must place to visit when you come to Oregon.

Their rose garden displays are gorgeous! And, and you can usually purchase most of what is displayed in their gardens as "starts"...either there on location or, by mail order.

They have climbing roses, miniature roses, shrub roses, ground cover...you name it.

English Roses

We have many flowers in our yard and one of the most vibrant are the English Roses. We purchased five different varieties, years ago in St. Paul, Oregon at a place called "Heirloom Roses".

That's all Heirloom grows and they have it down.

Our English Roses grow like mad and, they climb like mad.  But, there is nothing like them. They come in numerous shapes, colors, miniature and full bloom sizes. There is a ton of varieties.

Sara Hite Memorial Rose Garden

The best rose garden I know off without going to the Rose Gardens in Portland is the Sara Hite Memorial Rose Garden in Milwaukie, Oregon...specifically located in North Clackamas Park.
