C.Moore Clearly Window Cleaners

This is one of those cool classic panel trucks you don't see very often. The logo on the side advertises a window cleaning service and was featured in a car show in Oregon.

Everything about the panel truck is absolutely well done. The bodywork, paint and interior are perfect!

The chrome wheels and tires accented the panel in good taste.

I converted the image using special software in High Dynamic Range Photography (HDR) which brings out more a greater dynamic range of luminosity in any particular scene.

Then the image was converted into a digital painting. And, rather than just capture the panel, I wanted to create a street scene...something in the moment with onlookers.

Tin Lizzie

This is a 1926 Ford Model T Racer also known, as well as other Model T's as "Tin Lizzies"!  This Racer is a stock Model T with a lighter body shell and a souped up engine.

It could get up to 90 miles per hour! This particular Model T is typical of race cars of the 1920s. They were driven to and from the race track.

Most had no top or windshield as opposed to the image here.

This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range (HDR) by combining three different exposures, and then incorporating the results into a digital painting.

1940 Pontiac

The Pontiac automobile was established in 1926. Within General Motors, the folks that built the Pontiac had special pride in the way they turned out. In 2009, due to financial hassles GM discontinued manufacturing the car.

That is a shame!  Many good Pontiac factory workers lost their jobs. It seems like they were scapegoats.

Anyway, this cool and classic car was photographed at a car show that was held in the rain in Newport, Oregon.

This image was processed in High Dynamic Range Photography (HDR). Five different exposures were combined into one to give the image more depth. It was raining quite hard when this photo was taken and that should show up in the image.

1939 Classic Packard 120

This is a vintage 1939 Packard photographed at a Concours d'elegance! Every square inch of this beautiful Packard has been restored to perfection.

Packard basically went out of business because they took the time to make an excellent product and, because they bought Studebaker, couldn't get it to compete with Chevrolet and they tanked.

Just before this model, Packard did away with the floor shifter and moved it to the steering column. You could get "happily involved" with one of these, brand new for about two grand at the time.

Today, a collector might, just might be able to locate a replacement "ash tray" for two grand!

You can purchase this image in a variety of ways, wall art, life style, apparel, greeting cards, home decor, phone cases, beach. please see the link below this image and /or the slide shows below and, on the left side bar!

Cruisin' In A 1910 Brush Automobile

The Brush Automobile Company was only in business from 1909 to 1913. What is unique is that the car had a wooden chassis with iron cross members.

In the early 1900s popularity among open cars like this Brush swept across the Únited States. Unfortunately, the Brush Company would be bought out by the United States Motor Company. And, then U.S. Motors collapsed in 1912  bringing the end of the Brush automobiles.

The Brush automobiles were built using hardwoods. Axles and wheels were fabricated from hickory. Further. the frame and flooring was built from oak and the seat structure from poplar.

The one I photographed is absolutely pristine with immense detail throughout. So, pack a picnic lunch and ride around with the top down in this cool car!

The image has been converted to a digital painting that I hope you enjoy. If you would like to explore this image, or others, please see links below the image!

Classic Cars- Mercedes Gullwing

This post features a 1955 Mercedes Benz Gullwing on display at the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automotive Museum in Hood River, Oregon (WAAAM).

I can remember seeing a couple of these, when I was a kid, running around on the street. They were unique then and, they are really unique now.

I don't really don't know why they stopped making them. In their day they were the world's fastest production car. It had the distinctive Gull Wing doors and the very first consumer fuel injection.

They were miles and miles ahead on "cool"!  Amazon recommended reading...MERCEDES-BENZ,The early Mercedes SL cars: From the 300SL and 190SL to the 230SL - 280S

Vintage Classic Cars-1929 Packard Phaeton

This post features just the 1929 Packard Phaeton on display at the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automotive Museum in Hood River, Oregon (WAAAM).

For me, and I admit to having a lot of favorites, one of the highlights of the WAAAM tour was a 1929 Packard Phaeton.

In general, Packard made a first-class automobile. Maybe their shortcoming, and why they went out of business was, that they made them too well. They couldn't compete in a world where at one time others were producing "planned obsolescence".

I'm old enough to remember the last of the Packards. My uncle was a dealer and I got to ride in his. It was a fine automobile...much better built than most domestic cars of the era.

Antique Autos

I finally posted an old truck photo in black and white. This is an antique Dodge truck that sits out in a field as you enter the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automotive Museum (WAAAM) in Hood River, Oregon.

It has a Tillamook Cheese Factory Logo on it and I am assuming was used by them to transport product from here to there years ago.

The second photo is a 1927 Harley Davidson JD Motorcycle. It doesn't look like it has been restored yet but it's still cool!

The third and fourth photos are of a 1929 Graham Paige. I took a shot of the dash and the auto from the backside.

Vintage Classic Cars

More vintage classic cars from the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automotive Museum in Hood River, Oregon (WAAAM).

I can't believe the level of restoration folks have adhered to on their automobiles and planes. Many are restored to concours level.

Many owners loan their cars and planes to the Museum in return for a place to store them.

All week I have been posting photos of the cool vintage autos and planes at the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automotive Museum in Hood River, Oregon (WAAAM).

So, here are some more. It will be awhile before I run out of pics to post. It is time consuming to process the photos. I only post a few at a time...please be patient.

Collector Cars At WAAAM

If you are into vintage collector cars and airplanes, one of the coolest museums on the planet is in Hood River, Oregon...the "Western Antique Aeroplane & Automotive Museum" (WAAAM).

An enthusiast can have a field day! I don't know vintage autos as well as I should but I can sure appreciate them and, I love to photograph them. Ooh, Jay Leno and Clive Cussler would go berserk at this museum!
