This post features a 1955 Mercedes Benz Gullwing on display at the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automotive Museum in Hood River, Oregon (WAAAM).
I can remember seeing a couple of these, when I was a kid, running around on the street. They were unique then and, they are really unique now.
I don't really don't know why they stopped making them. In their day they were the world's fastest production car. It had the distinctive Gull Wing doors and the very first consumer fuel injection.
