Pacific Maritime & Heritage Center

The Pacific Maritime & Heritage Center is located in Newport, Oregon. It is is located at 333 SE Bay Blvd.

It is a first-class  museum full of maritime educational material and exhibits. Before it was a maritime museum it was Gracie's At Smuggler's Cove...a restaurant and entertainment facility.

It has received major renovations since it was Gracie's and continues to grow and grow.

Below is just a smattering of what is in the museum. Most interesting for my wife and I were the Japanese Fish Prints or, Gyotaku (Fishing Rubbing). You might want to do a little research on Google about it. It is phenomenal!

Maybe next up was the old surfboards that go back, way back before I thought they did. They were made from wood and, many are works of art in themselves.
