1947 Ford Club Coupe

This 1947 Ford Club was featured at a car show in Newport, Oregon. Actually, this model Ford is an  aborted 1942 model because of the Second World War.

Further, the 1947 model was identical to the 1946 except Ford then restyled the body slightly first by moving the parking lights from above the grill to below each headlight. However, this is not reflected in the image here.

That could be because, in the first weeks of the 47's production the car was the same as the 1946. As the 47 progressed, exterior moldings were changed from grooved to a smooth design.

They received a new hood ornament. A new hubcap design became available. The interior dash color was changed from red accent to gold.

The image has been converted to a digital Impressionist painting that I hope you enjoy. If you would like to explore this image, or others, please see link below image!
