Tom McCall Waterfront Park Artwork

This is the walkway along Tom McCall Waterfont Park, bordering the Willamette River. The Portland Maritime Museum is the boat off to the right.

Given any day, Portlanders love to walk along the river and take in the tranquility of the area. The Waterfront Park is downtown and, is very convenient for folks, who work in the area to take a nice walk during the lunch hour.

However, this capture was made on a Sunday and, many of the folks on a walk here come from all over. The Morrison Bridge is in the background and the high rises are on the east side. This image has been converted into a digital painting,

Hawthorne Bridge Art

The Hawthorne Bridge in Portland, Oregon (PDX) is one of Portland's oldest bridges...in a city known as "Bridge City"! It is also one of Portland's most popular bridges.

Hundreds of bicyclist cross the bridge daily to and, from their workplaces downtown. With all the bicycles, Portland is known as an environmentalist city and, they are proud of it!

The Hawthorne Bridge is a truss bridge. It has the distinction of being the oldest vertical-lift, bridge still going in the United States.

It is also the busiest bridge in Oregon with, just alone 8000 cyclist a day. It is one of the centerpieces of Portland's bike culture with a never ending flow of bicyclists, walkers and joggers.

And, they all can take in a fantastic view of the Willamette River and the city's skyline.  Take a look at three very different versions of the Hawthorne Bridge here and on my website. The first and third images have been converted to digital paintings!

Max Train To Gresham

A downtown Portland (PDX), Oregon scene of the Max Train (streetcar) headed for Gresham, Oregon! Nobody really refers to them as streetcars anymore but trains or light rail.

However, they sure look like streetcars. Portland's traffic is horrendous and the Max Trains are very popular to get to the suburbs.

It's a winter day and things are blustery! It's a workday and it seems no one is downtown except for worker bees. The Historic Pioneer Courthouse is off to the left.

If you would like to explore this image, or others, please see links below!
