Holland Wooden Shoes

Oregon, and the Pacific Northwest are home to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm Festival each year. Thousands of folks visit from all over to see the beautiful tulips.

These authentic Holland wooden shoes in the foreground, along with an authentic windmill in the background are just some of the treasures that you run across as you tour the tulip farm!

Tulip Festival in Woodburn Oregon

One of the finest tulip festivals is in Woodburn, Oregon...the "Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm". Thousands flock to it every year when the tulips are in bloom.

I spent two days photographing beautiful flowers at the Wooden Shoe. It is a gala event and it is an event the whole family can enjoy.

The whole time I was there it was overcast. That's the best time to photograph flowers, not when it is sunny out.

I always try to go when they are first open. I f you don't there gets to be too many folks wondering around in your photos.

If you ever come to Oregon, make sure to visit when the tulips are in bloom...it's a great experience!

Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm

The Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm is one of the largest tulip farms in the northwest. Every year they open it up to the public.

And, when they do it's a big deal and worth your time to visit. Of course, being a photographer I'm in "Hog Heaven". The colors are just magnificent.

OK! The first shot here is distorted...on purpose. It's been converted to HDR (High Dynamic Range Photography)...the truck has been also.
