Seahorse Wall Art

This cool Seahorse serves as a carved wooden figurehead on the front of a rather large  boat that is moored on the Siuslaw River in Florence on the Oregon Coast.

Carved decorations on boats are rather a thing of the past. And, this Seahorse art is rather unique.

The origins of the figurehead and other forms of ship decoration goes back thousands of years. It was common among seafaring civilizations of the old world.

Egyptian figureheads, for example date back to around 3000 BC. This image has been converted to a digital painting.

You can purchase this image in a variety of ways, wall art, life style, apparel, greeting cards, home decor, phone cases, beach. please see the link below this image and /or the slide shows below and, on the left side bar!

Pocket of Orange!

The "Pocket of Orange" come from the intense light that hitting the inner part (ovary) of the flower. Of course, this has been enhanced...some colors eliminated while other colors were enhanced.

The result is something a little abstract. However, we get down to the beauty of flowers and how they play a role in our lives.

If you would like to explore this image, or others, please see links below!

The Blue Rhododendron

Rhododendrons are extremely beautiful plants, flowers and come in a variety of colors. The blue rhody here was transformed into abstract form.

Not so much the bloom itself but, the background. It was photographed at a bed and breakfast just outside of Waldport on the Oregon Coast.

The image has been converted to a digital painting that I hope you enjoy. If you would like to explore this image, or others, please see links below!

Abstract Dahlia

The Dahlia is the national flower of Mexico. Dahlias are perennial and indigenous to Mexico.

There are some forty two species. They are robust and very colorful!

Dahlias rejuvenate, at least in the coastal area I live in, starting in May through late summer. I combined this Dahlia image with a Fall background.

It sort of the end of the growing season for the Dahlia and the beginning of Fall! If you would like to explore this image, or others, please see links below!
