The Pagoda and the Koi

I had the opportunity to photograph much of the Japanese Gardens in Portland, Oregon (PDX) on a dark and dreary day before it was opened to the public. Now, most folks will op for a sunshiny day but, when it is nasty out all but the most intrepid are out.

The intrepid were the photographers that were out and about in the gardens. And, most photographers will not step in between your camera and tripod, and the subject, while your are trying to take a photo.

As a result, I was able to get some pretty nice pictures out of the deal. And, from time to time I will post them here.

The below pagoda sits on an outcropping from the Koi pond. I took the photo from a bridge with a water falls in the background all while capturing some of the Koi in the water.
