Horse Drawn Carriage

Sort of a unique scene! This horse drawn carriage (buggy) was found in Jacksonville, Oregon. Which is a very cool place, located in the southern part of the State!

And, the carriage was not found in a museum!  It was just displayed like "yard art". In fact, another and similar horse drawn carriage was found just blocks away!

This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range (HDR) by combining three different exposures, and then incorporating the results into a digital painting.

Quality Canvas Wall Art

I am proudly associated with Fine Art America, a premier online source for buying fine art prints. In fact, I have a personal site with them: Thom Zehrfeld Fine Art !

The very reason I chose to have my site with them is their quality work and exceptional customer service. In this post I would like to introduce their canvas printing facility.

If you desire a more professional look to your art you will be rewarded with a canvas print. There is no distracting high gloss sheen to distract details...it will look like a piece of art. And, you can order them in a variety of sizes to fit almost any space and budget.

The way any given print stretches around a frame will give you a beautiful three dimensional effect. Be confident that Fine Art America is one of the most respected and largest printers in the world. And, they guarantee their work!

I have listed some examples of my photography below, with links, so you can check them out for yourself. Thank you!

Bandon - Beach Towns At Night

The post on Bandon, Oregon early on was Bandon in the wee hours of the morning.  It may not look like it in some cases, but the following photos are Bandon from about 9:30 until 11 pm at night.

Bandon is not a party town and that is just fine with me.  Except for a couple of Pubs, things slow down to dead.

I included a photo of part of the Boardwalk which I think rivals any boardwalk anywhere.  I oversaturated the shot because it accented the Seahorse...and the art that is attached to the railing, with the latter done by school age children.

The first photo here is a first-class covered, glassed-in picnic area on the Boardwalk.  The second, an upstairs restaurant. The third, a mall and eating place and the fourth a sport fishing place.

Bullards Beach State Park

Bullards Beach State Park is situated across the Coquille River from Bandon, Oregon to the North.  If you look across the river from Bandon, it looks like a "piece of cake" to get to.

It would be if you went by boat.  By car, it's a bit of a drive to enter the park and get to the west end of the Park and to the Coquille River Lighthouse and beach.

The Park itself is huge.  If you want to hike...this is it! If you want to camp...this is it! If you want to ride horses...this is it! If you want to beachcomb...this is it!

I took photos of the camping area and some of the nature trails but I decided not to post them here.

Many folks think that the Coquille River Lighthouse is a working lighthouse.  Surprise, surprise, surprise! It is an empty lighthouse and has been for many decades.
