Looking Into The Garden

This beautiful stained glass is embedded into a garden gate. The gate leads to a cool front yard and beach house. You can see plants, flowers and an old gas pump through the glass.

The setting is in Neskowin...a cool community on the Oregon Coast! This is not the only stained glass built into a fence either. There are a smattering of artistic stained glass throughout the entire fence.

Kite Wall Art

Every summer in Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast they have a first-class kite festival. Folks come from all over to attend this gala event.

From year to year, there are new, cool and unusual kites flying out on the beach next to the D River...the shortest river in the world! The Whale kites and the Octopus kite caught the camera's eye.

Importantly, the wind was just right to make it a perfect day to fly kites!  People are milling around the kites or, are sitting down in the sand and eating picnic lunches.

And, everyone is having fun! This image was converted into a digital painting!

Seahorse Wall Art

This cool Seahorse serves as a carved wooden figurehead on the front of a rather large  boat that is moored on the Siuslaw River in Florence on the Oregon Coast.

Carved decorations on boats are rather a thing of the past. And, this Seahorse art is rather unique.

The origins of the figurehead and other forms of ship decoration goes back thousands of years. It was common among seafaring civilizations of the old world.

Egyptian figureheads, for example date back to around 3000 BC. This image has been converted to a digital painting.

Buoys And Crab Ring Wall Art

Buoys intermingled with crab rings! The setting is a bay front on the Oregon Coast early in the morning with the minimum of sunlight.

Fishing boats are preparing to go out and set the crab rings not far from shore in the Pacific. It's a lot of hard work throwing the crab rings overboard and retrieving them hours later.

Every crabber has there own distinctive buoys so that they know who's is what!
